Marta Collado, Audiovisual Communication student at the Universitat de València, talks about how she plans her studies at home during the confinement. She has sent us a video giving more details about her life in face of the temporary suspension of face-to-face teaching activity and a personal reflection on this exceptional situation.
During the quarantine due to the coronavirus crisis, Marta keeps in touch with the teaching staff of the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication through the tools provided by the Universitat:Microsoft Teams, Blackboard Collaborate and Aula Virtual. 'Two of our professors use Microsoft Teams and Blackboard Collaborate for online classes, but the rest of them use Aula Virtual, where they upload material so that we can follow the training in a more autonomous way,' she affirms.
In spite of the confinement, Marta does not lose contact with her fellows, even with the Erasmus ones, often talking on the phone and through Skype. In addition, she takes advantage of the quarantine for the Covid-19 to spend time with her parents.
'I'm handling the quarantine much better than I might think,' says Marta to her surprise, although she points out that she has a feeling of overwork because of the assignments that the teaching staff of the Universitat are asking her to do. 'I'd like to keep on handling it well, but without that feeling of stress that I have because I'm always doing things for Universitat,' she adds.
Finally, Marta Collado expresses a last wish in the spirit of 'doing some more sport, although I've never done much exercise, but I am always in my room'.
