The recommended entry profile is as follows: a) telecommunications engineer, b) computer science graduate, c) physics graduate, d) mathematics graduate (applied mathematics speciality), e) electronic engineer, f) telecommunication engineering studies adapted to RD 1393 g) any other master's qualification with a professional focus on telecommunications, since the courses offered in this Masters are more advanced in terms of fundamental and applied research; besides, several of them are not currently offered in Spain in the field of telecommunications.

To study this Masters, it is essential to have previous knowledge in: algebra for engineers, linear systems and/or transforms, likelihood and statistics, communication theory, basic knowledge of signal processing, basic knowledge of networks and programming techniques.

 It is also essential to prove proficiency in English so as to be able to follow courses taught in that language, either through a personal interview or with one of the following documents: a) First Certificate in English, b) Certificate of the Official School of Languages, c) Certificate of Competency in English (ECCE), University of Michigan, d) 213 score in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), e) 6.5 mark in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or having passed level 4 at the Official School of Languages.
