The UV research groups (GIUV) are regulated in the 1st chapter of the Regulation ACGUV48/2013, which explains the procedure for creating new research structures. They are basic research and organizational structures that result from the voluntary association of researchers that share objectives, facilities, resources and common lines of research. These researchers are also committed to the consolidation and stability of their activity, work in groups and the capability to achieve a sustainable funding.

The research groups included in the previously mentioned Regulation are registered in the Register of Research Structures of the Universitat de València (REIUV), managed by the Office of the Vice-principal for Research. The basic information of these organisms can be found in this website.

Description of research activity:
The group's research activity is developed through the following work lines: To identify and describe the processes of formation of the climate and culture of the organisations. To determine the influence that leadership has on the processes of formation of the organisational climate and culture, and on its average levels and variability. To determine the influence of the organisational climate and culture, and leadership, on key processes in the functioning of work units (e.g., conflict, communication, reflexivity). To estimate the indirect effects of climate, culture and leadership on the results of the work units (e.g., performance, quality of service) and the quality of working life of its members (e.g., psychological well-being, job satisfaction), through the processes indicated above. To determine the influence that the composition of work teams based on demographic variables (e.g., gender, education, seniority) has on the processes and results of the teams. To develop and validate measurement instruments (e.g., tests, questionnaires, scales) to measure the variables listed above. Scientific-technical goals:
  • Elaborar instrumentos de medida fiables y validos de las variables señaladas en el apartado anterior, cuyas propiedades psicometricas sean suficientemente invariantes a traves de grupos demograficos, idiomas, y paises y contextos culturales.
  • Ofrecer un modelo explicativo integrador acerca de los factores que determinan los procesos de emergencia y desarrollo del clima y la cultura en las organizaciones.
  • Identificar los mecanismos clave a traves de los que el clima y la cultura organizacional influyen sobre los resultados de las unidades de trabajo y la calidad de vida laboral de sus miembros.
