The UV research groups (GIUV) are regulated in the 1st chapter of the Regulation ACGUV48/2013, which explains the procedure for creating new research structures. They are basic research and organizational structures that result from the voluntary association of researchers that share objectives, facilities, resources and common lines of research. These researchers are also committed to the consolidation and stability of their activity, work in groups and the capability to achieve a sustainable funding.

The research groups included in the previously mentioned Regulation are registered in the Register of Research Structures of the Universitat de València (REIUV), managed by the Office of the Vice-principal for Research. The basic information of these organisms can be found in this website.

  • Investigación, formación e intervención en el bienestar y la salud mental de población deportista, practicante de actividad física o sedentaria.
 
Research lines:
  • Sports career management, transitions and dual career..Its aim is to study sporting careers as a transitional process that develops throughout life. Members of the research team participate in the Thematic Network for Healthy Dual Careers in Spanish Sport HEDUCA(R), a national project funded by the Ministry.
  • Study of the variables that influence psychological well-being throughout the life cycle..Analyse the factors that influence people's psychological well-being at any point in their life cycle and that affect their mental health, proposing preventive measures for athletes, people who engage in physical activity, and sedentary individuals.
  • Study of mental health in elderly people..The aim is to study variables related to mental health and suicide prevention in older people, as well as to promote training for the various agents involved in their care.
