The Espai Vilaweb of Barcelona, hosts the launching of the book <> (Mapping, ideology and power. Ethnographic maps of the Italian Touring Club (1927-1952)) by Rafael Company.
This book constructed on maps <> of the 19th and 20th centuries, describes the confluence of mapping, ethnological and linguistic disciplines, ideological convictions and the exercise of political power. Winner of the Joan Coromines Award 2013, the work reflects on the exogenous views of social and territorial identities which still incite studies and desires.
