Forum-discussion day on “Sport for all” The Chair combines adapted sport and professional sport.

 

Divina Pastora Chair for Adapted Sport of the Universitat de València organises today, 14 May, a forum-discussion day under the motto “Sport for all. Let nothing stop you!”. The conference will bring together athletes from the Chair’s aid and grants programme, such as Rafael Ibáñez, Spanish wheelchair hockey champion; Raquel Mateu, member of the Women and Sport Commission of the Spanish Table Tennis Federation; and Pablo Cantero, member of the Spanish National Athletics Team (60m, 100m, 200m and long jump). These athletes will join two Valencia F.C. professional players , Lucas Orban and Javi Fuego, with the purpose of joining adapted sport to professional sport based on the life experiences of both groups.

The forum-discussion will be attended by the UV’s Principal, Esteban Morcillo; the director of the Divina Pastora Chair for Adapted Sport of the UV, José Campos; the manager of Divina Pastora Foundation, Rosa Laparra; the Deputy Director General of Divina Pastora Seguros (Insurance Company), Pilar Nieto; and the Director General of Sport, Mateo Castellá. Manuel Peris, consultant of Valencia F.C. and Juan Cruz Sol, member of the Council Advisory Committee, will also participate. In addition to representatives of the different entities involved.

The event can be followed live via VCF Radio, the official radio station of Valencia Football Club, on the dial 101.6 FM for the geographical area of Valencia and from anywhere in the world in the official media (VCF official website and social networks).
