Martirio offers, together with the brilliant guitarist Raúl Rodríguez, a concert with a repertoire mainly based on the music of the great Chavela Vargas, which is part of the tribute album they dedicated to her, De un mundo raro, cantes por Chavela, with versions of her admired artist to the rhythm of flamenco which are sheer emotion.
The artists' musical and human knowledge of each other makes any kind of surprise and emotion possible. Their love for popular music, its roots and its fusion have led them to establish their own language, based on their own compositions and versions of the great classics to which they are indebted.
From blues to flamenco, from bolero to tango, from copla to swing, in a tone that is sometimes cultured, sometimes popular, and always complicit and heterogeneous, which characterises Martirio's music and which, with Raúl's instrumental versatility, will manage to win over the audience.
