Fusako, Natsuko, and Kumico are three women that survive in the post-war Japan. Surrounded with poverty and misery and cornered by the hunger, they end up in prostitution, a situation that is pictured as normal, in view of the exploitation and submission environment for women characteristic of the patriarchal society in a tradition that, systematically, violates human rights.
