The Chinese cuisine, a millenary cuisine

Within the activities framework to hold the Confucius Institute’s Day, when the 10th anniversary of the foundation of the first Confucius Institute in the world is commemorated, and with the collaboration of El Corte Inglés, the Traditional and Millenary Chinese Cuisine days will be carried out at the Home Building of El Corte Inglés of Nuevo Centro.

These days will be carried out every Monday 6, 13, 20 and 27 October at 18:30. In these cuisine days, the chefs of the best Chinese restaurants of Valencia will show to us, with two or three of their plates, the different techniques and food they use in their traditional Chinese recipes.

Only those registered plates can be tasted.

The attendance to these days requests a previous enrolment at the Kitchenware Department (1st floor Home Building) or on the phone +34 964 474 353.

Both the presentation and the explanation of these recipes will be carried out by the valencian gastronomic critic Pedro G. Mocholí. These recipes will be given in the enrolment check of that day.

The restaurants and the chefs who will participate are the following:

  • 6th Day: Casa Ru Restaurant, calle Sueca, 65 of Valencia. The chef Li Hai Hong
  • 13th Day: Min Dou Restaurant, calle Pelayo, 31 of Valencia. Chef: Chen
  • 20th Day: Chinese Cultural centre Hua Xia, calle Vicent Tomas i Marti, 7 ground floor of Valencia. Chefs Adan Liu and Qinghe Ye.
  • 27th Day: Zen Restaurant, avenida Pio XII, 33 of Valencia. Chef Silvia Zhou.

All the plates that will be cooked in these cuisine days can be tested at the respective restaurant.
