Biography
 

María Carbonell Saiz, B.A. in Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation, M.A. in Language and Literature Research from the University of Valencia. Since 2024 she is a PhD student at the University of Valencia and a member of the Inter-university Institute for Modern and Applied Languages (IULMA). Her research field is conversation analysis and she has conducted her first studies on discourse markers and epistemicity in interaction.

Biography
 

Rodrigo Carmen-Cerdán holds a B.A. in Modern Languages and Literatures, and a M.A. in Language and Literature Research at the Universitat de València. He is currently predoctoral research fellow with a grant funded by the Conselleria de Educación, Cultura, Universidades y Empleo and the European Social Fund (CIACIF/2021/093) and works on his dissertation about the German Baroque Trauerspiel under supervision of Ingrid García-Wistädt and Berta Raposo Fernández.

He is member of the permanent research group RIALE (Relaciones Interculturales Alemania-España, GIUV2013-078), whose main purpose is to lay the basis for a comprehensive research on intercultural relations between Spain and German-speaking countries from the Middle Ages to the present day. He is also part of the work team of the research project EMOTHE (Early Modern Theatre) and of the editorial board of the academic journal EFIT: Estudis Filològics i de Traducció. His research interests focus on German literature of the early modern age (sixteenth to seventeenth centuries) – particularly drama and poetry – as well as on literary transfer between Germany and Spain and on literature of German travellers to Spain and America during these period.

Biography
 

Sara Llopis-Mestre graduated with honours in Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation at the Universitat de València (2018), where she also studied the Master's Degree in Creative and Humanistic Translation (2019), specialising in Literary Translation. She is currently a predoctoral fellow (Atracció de Talent, 2021) at the Department of English and German Philology, where she conducts research for her doctoral thesis on the translation and censorship of Anglo-American lesbian literature in Spain. Her research interests focus on the translation of lesbian literature, translation and censorship under Franco, queer translation and feminist translation. She is a member of the research group CiTrans (GIUV2013-012, UV) and collaborates with the research group TRACE (Universidad de León). She is part of the Interuniversity Institute of Applied Modern Languages of the Valencian Community (IULMA), and is co-director and editor-in-chief of the academic journal EFIT: Estudis Filologics i de Traducció.

Biography
 

Daniel López Fernández is a PhD candidate in the "Languages, Literatures and Cultures, and their Applications" program. He graduated in Modern Languages ​​and their Literatures (2020) with a Major in German Philology and a Minor in East Asian Studies. He subsequently obtained a Master's Degree in Language ​​and Literature Research (2021). He currently works at the University of Valencia as a predoc researcher thanks to the grants for the hiring of predoctoral research staff from the Department of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society of the Generalitat Valenciana and the European Social Fund (CIACIF/2021/110). Since 2021 he has been part of the RIALE  (Intercultural Relations Germany-Spain) research group. His research focuses on the representation of the working world in contemporary German novels, as well as on other aspects of 20th-century German-language literature, although he has also developed research in other fields such as posthumanism, environmental humanities and animal studies..

Blanca Mallén Dorado holds a degree in Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation with a specialization in English (2023) from the University of Valencia. She completed her master's degree in Research in Languages and Literatures (2024) at the same institution. She is currently a PhD student in the PhD program on Languages, Literatures and Cultures, and their Applications. She works as a predoctoral researcher within the Department of English and German Philology of the University of Valencia and is member of the Inter-university Institute for Applied Modern Languages (IULMA). She specializes in translation technologies and machine translation ethics, as well as in the intersection of these interdisciplinary fields with translation didactics.

Anesa Muslimovic Ortega holds a B.A. in English Studies (2022) and an M.A. in Creative and Humanistic Translation (2023) at the Universitat de València, where she received the End-of-Degree Extraordinary Award for both disciplines. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Language, Literatures, Cultures, and its Applications Doctoral program, with a thesis supervised by Professor Dr. Anna M. Brígido-Corachán. 

Since December 2024, she has been working in the Department of English and German after being awarded a grant for the training of pre-doctoral research staff (Invest Formació Atracció de Talent — UV). 

Additionally, she is a member of the LENA research group (North American Ethnic Minority Literature in a Global Context), where her research focuses on trauma, identity fragmentation, and reconstruction in the literary works of the Bosnian-American diaspora. Specifically, she investigates the experiences of the first generation of exiled Bosnian Muslims who relocated to the US due to the Bosnia War (1992-1995). Her research interests also include the literary representation of queer identities, Gender Studies, and translation, particularly focusing on the translation of sapphic identities in contexts of censorship.

Biography
 

Cristina María Tello-Barbé holds a BA in English Studies (2020) awarded by the University of Valencia. There, she also completed two MAs, namely a master’s degree in Education (2021) and a master’s degree in Advanced English Studies (2022). Thanks to the FPU predoctoral contract funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities, she has been part of the Research Staff in Training at the Department of English and German Philology since 2024. She is also a member of the CORPLING research group (Corpus Linguistics: Developments and Applications) and the Interuniversity Institute of Modern Applied Languages of the Valencian Community. Her primary research area corresponds with Corpus-Assisted (Critical) Discourse Studies. Nevertheless, her research interests also include the fields of gender studies and fat studies.
