I lecture on English language and linguistics at the Department of English and German Philology, University of Valencia. I teach English Discourse Analysis to under-graduate students of English Studies, and Discourse in the Media at graduate level. I am a research member of the Interuniversity Institute of Applied Modern Languages (IULMA). My research interests include (digital) discourse analysis, sociopragmatics, and inter-/ cross-cultural communication. I have published in international journals like Journal of Pragmatics, Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication, Language & Society, Journal of Politeness Research, Intercultural Pragmatics, Journal of Language and Politics, Gender & Language, Pragmatics & Society, and Journal of Language Aggression and Conflict. I am editor of several volumes and special issues. I am cofounder of the Approaches to Digital Discourse Analysis-ADDA Conference series and organised the first one at the University of Valencia (2015).

Dr. Andrea Burgos-Mascarell is an assistant professor at the University of Valencia, where she got her PhD on 21^st century dystopian fiction. Her field of studies involves contemporary speculative fictions with a particular focus on literature for young adults. She has been a visiting researcher at the Ralahine Centre for Utopian Studies of the University of Limerick, and at the Centro Dipartimentale di Ricerca sull’Utopia at the Università di Bologna. She is member of the editorial committee of MediAzioni and a member of the research group Literature, Arts and Performance. She has published on genre and gender in dystopian fiction in national and international journals. She co-authored the monograph “El Ocaso de Koinonia: La distopía en la literatura norteamericana” (open access) by Publicacions de la Universitat de València.

Enrique Cerezo Herrero holds a PhD in Translation from the Universitat de València with a thesis on the teaching of English as a B language in the training of future translators and interpreters. He also completed a Master's Degree in Creative and Humanistic Translation (English) and a BA in Translation and Interpreting (English) at the same university, as well as several postgraduate courses on translation methodology and foreign language teaching at different universities. He is currently a lecturer and researcher in the Department of English and German Philology at the Universitat de València, where he teaches several courses on translation and English language and linguistics in the BA in Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation and English Studies. He also combines his teaching duties with the position of Vice-Dean for Internationalization of the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication.

In the research arena, his interests focus on foreign language teaching for trainee translators and interpreters, translation pedagogy and Plurilingual education. His work has been published in a wide range of academic journals such as The Interpreter and Translator Trainer, Ikala, Porta Linguarum, RESLA, MonTI, Sendebar, Quaderns. Revista de Traducció, IJES, ELIA, ELOPE, etc., and in renowned publishers such as Peter Lang, John Benjamins or Tirant Lo Blanch. He has also participated in numerous national and international conferences on translation and foreign language teaching and has been Principal Investigator (PI) of three emerging research projects on multilingual education in the Valencian Community.

Inmaculada Garnes Tarazona holds a degree in English Philology from the University Jaume I, a Master's in Secondary Education Teaching from the University of Valencia, a Master's in Hispanic Linguistics from the University of Georgia, a Master's in Information and Communication Technologies in Language Research from the UNED, and a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Georgia. She began teaching at the University of Georgia in 2001 and is currently an assistant professor in the Department of English and German Philology at the University of Valencia. Her main research areas are Pragmatics, Corpus Linguistics, and Discourse Analysis. Her research has been published in journals such as Sintagma, Verba, Estudios de Traducción, Discourse & Communication, Signos Lingüísticos, o Diálogo de la Lengua.

Full-time lecturer in English Laguage and Linguistics at ​​the Universitat de València since 1992, currently senior reader. Founding member of the University Institute of Applied Modern Languages ​within the UV (IULMA-UV), and of the Group of Support for Research in Linguistic Variation (SILVA Group). She has lectured on  linguistics and professional English in undergraduate degrees in English Studies, Tourism Studies, Economics and International Business Studies. She has also lectured on specialized English issues in the Ph.D. program in Specialized Languages, ​​and in several postgraduate degrees such as the Master in Economic Internationalization, Master in Tourism Management, Master in International and EU Relations, Master in Research in Languages ​​and Literatures, and Master in Advanced English Studies. She has worked in the International Relations Office of the Faculty of Economics and also in the Faculty of Philology (FFTC) and has collaborated as visititng lecturer and researcher with universities in Spain (e.g. University of Alicante, Universitat Jaume I of Castellón) and abroad (e.g. Roehampton University, South Bank University, Nottingham University, Liverpool University). Her main areas of ​​research are linguistic variation in contemporary English and professional communication, especially approached from cognitive linguistics, sociolinguistics, pragmatic semantics and corpus linguistics. Eivor Jordà Mathiasen has a doctorate in Translation and the Knowledge Society. She graduated in Philosophy and Education Sciences at the UV and in Translation and Interpreting at the UJI. She is currently a teacher in the Department of English and German Philology at the University of Valencia. Previously, she has been a teacher of translation theory, legal translation and audiovisual translation of the translation degree at the European University of Valencia where she also directed the Master in Audiovisual Translation.

Her main research interests are in the field of philosophy of translation, gender and translation, documentation for legal translation and audiovisual translation. She has published in prestigious international translation journals such as Translation Studies, The Translator or Babel, and national ones such as Sendebar or Hermeneus. Dr. Juan José Martínez Sierra is a Full Professor in the Department of English and German Studies at the Universitat de València. Within this department, he instructs courses on Written and Audiovisual Translation, Intercultural Communication, and English Language at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He earned his doctorate in Translation Studies from Universitat Jaume I in 2004, complemented by a degree in English Language and Culture from UJI in 1995, as well as an MA in Intercultural Communication from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, USA, in 2001. His primary area of expertise lies in Audiovisual Translation, which comprises a significant portion of both his teaching curriculum and research endeavors. His research predominantly revolves around the study of audiovisual translation from an intercultural standpoint. This pursuit has yielded a prolific array of engagements, including lectures, seminars, invited talks, and presentations at national and international conferences. Dr. Martínez Sierra boasts an extensive publication record, encompassing over 100 works, such as books, book chapters, reviews, and numerous articles in esteemed scientific journals. He serves as the coordinator for CiTrans and collaborates actively with the research groups SILVA (Universitat de València) and TRAMA (UJI).

Ana-Isabel Martínez-Hernández is a doctoral assistant professor in the department of English and German at the University of Valencia. She obtained her PhD in Applied Languages, Literature and Translation from the Universitat Jaume I in 2022. She was part of educational innovation groups such as CLHIOS or WikiTrad, and the GENTT research group. Today, she is a member of the Interuniversity Institute of Applied Modern Languages ​​(IULMA) and the TeLL-ME (Teaching and Learning Languages ​​​​in Multicultural Education) research group. She has been part of the CertAcles evaluation committee and has given training courses to teachers and preparation courses for accreditation at various levels in English. Her interests and lines of research focus on new technologies in the teaching and learning of English as a foreign language, as well as special needs in the English classroom. Her works have been published in national and international journals, including Porta Linguarum, Miscelánea: Journal of English and American Studies or Pragmalingüística. Likewise, she participates in the editorial committee of the magazine Ibérica and has been a reviewer in national and international magazines such as MonTi, Porta Linguarum or Teaching and Teacher Education.

Núria Molines Galarza is a lecturer in English Studies in the Department of English and German Studies at the Universitat de València. She teaches instrumental language, language for specific purposes, translation, and courses in the master's program in Creative Writing. She received her PhD in Applied Languages, Literature, and Translation in 2022 with a thesis entitled “No dejar caer el cuerpo: Derrida y la traducción como forma del acontecimiento”, which was awarded international mention and cum laude. From 2017 to 2024, she was an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Translation and Communication at the Universitat Jaume I, where she taught literary translation, general translation, language for translators, and linguistics. She is also a guest lecturer in the Master's program in Audiovisual Translation at the European University of Valencia. She holds a BA in Translation and Intercultural Mediation (UEV), an MA in Multidisciplinary Conference Interpreting, and an MA in Audiovisual Translation (UAB).

Her research interests focus on the intersections of translation, literature, and philosophy within a post-structuralist framework. She has published more than 20 scientific articles, book chapters, and reviews in specialized journals and is the author of the monograph Derrida y la traducción: nuevas perspectivas para la traductología deconstructiva (Peter Lang, 2025). Additionally, she has authored several critical editions and annotated translations of authors such as Stefan Zweig, Romain Rolland, Jane Austen, Kate Millett, and Olympe de Gouges. She has translated over 70 literary works by writers such as Joyce Carol Oates, Mark Fisher, Fredric Jameson, Andre Aciman, Ursula K. Le Guin, Catherine Lacey, Gabrielle Zevin, and the Grimm brothers. In 2023, she was awarded the Ángel Crespo Translation Prize for her Spanish version of Unica Zürn's El hombre del jazmín y otros textos (Wunderkammer, 2022), and in 2024, she was a finalist for the Esther Benítez Translation Prize.

Currently, she is the editor of the academic journal Asparkía. Investigació feminista and has served as co-principal investigator on several educational innovation projects focusing on literary training for translation students. She is a member of the research project “The Effects of Post-Editing on Creativity in Literary Translation’” funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities and directed by Dr. Josep Marco Borillo (COVALT).

In the field of knowledge transference, she represents Spain as a delegate in the European Council of Associations for Literary Translation (CEATL) and is a full member of ACEtt. She collaborates with media outlets such as El Trujamán (Instituto Cervantes) and Vasos Comunicantes. She participates in literary and translation activities in bookstores and cultural institutions and has provided training courses for professional associations such as ASETRAD, organizations like the Deutscher Übersetzerfonds at the Literarisches Colloquium in Berlin or instititutions such as the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sports.

She has conducted research and knowledge transfer stays at the University of Cambridge, the International College of Translators (ATLAS-Arles), and the Austrian Literature Foundation (OGfL).

Anthony Nuckols is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English and German Philology at the Universitat de València. He has a degree in English Studies from the UNED and in Hispanic Studies from the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, USA) and a PhD in Hispanic Studies from the University of Valencia (2020).

His predominant lines of research address literature written about the Spanish civil war, both in Spanish and English, historical memory, studies on memory and trauma and the relationship between these and literature in the contexts of the English-speaking countries, Spain and Latin America. Among his studies on memory and literature, the book Asumir la ausencia. Poética de duelos inconclusos en la narrativa española del s. XXI (Iberoamericana-Vervuert, 2020) stands out, as well as the study coordinated together with Luz C. SoutoRepercusiones internacionales sobre la guerra civil y el franquismo. Memorias empuñadas desde la periferia literaria (Peter Lang, 2023).

Currently he is a member of the Emerging Research project "Memory Novels LAB: Laboratorio Digital sobre Memoria Histórica Española" (GV/2021/183), financed by the Generalitat Valenciana and is the Coordinator of works in English of the project's database. He has also been a member of the research team of the project Prometeo 2016/133 "Max Aub and the confrontations of historical memory", coordinated by the Professor Joan Oleza.

In addition to teaching language and literature subjects in the English Studies Degree at the University of Valencia, he has also been a Visiting Professor in the Department of Translation and Communication at the Universitat Jaume I, where he has taught English language subjects and has tutored practicums in literary translation. He has also taught academic English courses for professors and researchers at the University of Valencia.

Andreea Rosca currently works as an Associate Professor of English language and linguistics at the University of Valencia (Spain). Previously, she worked as an ESP teacher at the Centro Universitario de la Defensa (Zaragoza) for almost three years. In 2012 she obtained an international Ph.D. in cognitive linguistics from the University of La Rioja (Spain). The University of La Rioja awarded her the Extraordinary Doctorate Award in 2015 for her doctoral thesis and her research work. Her research interests are Cognitive Linguistics, corpus linguistics, construction grammar, language pedagogy and English for Specific Purposes.

She has carried out funded research stays at the University of California (2011, the United States), the University of Pavia (2015, Italy), the University of Birmingham (2018, United Kingdom), the University of Genoa (2019, Italy) and the University of Josip Juraj Strossmayer (2022, Croatia). She has also been a guest professor within the Erasmus+ programs at the West University of Timisoara (Romania) in 2022 and at Altinbas University (Turkey) in 2023.

She has published several articles in well-known European and international journals such as RESLA (Revista Española de Lingüística Aplicada), VIAL. Vigo International Journal of Applied Linguistics, Círculo de Lingüística Aplicada a la Comunicación, Atlantis: Journal of the Spanish Association of Anglo-American Studies, Onomázein, ESP Today Journal, and Revue Roumaine de Linguistique (Romanian Review of Linguistics).
