The following days are declared holidays at the University of Valencia: March 16, 17, 18, 19 (Saint Joseph's holiday) and 20 (as compensation for August 15, a holiday Saturday).

The following days are public holidays: April 3, 4 (Holy Saturday), 6, and 13, 2026.

Two shifts are established:

First shift
From March 30 to April 2, both included.

During this shift, all PAS staff from each administrative unit will work in morning and afternoon shifts, except for essential personnel from Centers and Services as determined by the UV Management for the second shift.

Second shift
From April 7 to 10, both included.

During this shift, the PAS staff determined by the UV Management will work in the morning shift, on an exceptional basis, to guarantee essential services and tasks.

Public holidays are 24, 25 and 31 December 2026 and 1 and 6 January 2027.

Two shifts are established:

First shift
On 28, 29 and 30 December 2026 inclusive.

During this shift, all administrative and service staff (PAS) in each administrative unit will work, with the exception of essential personnel from Centers and Services, as determined by the University of Valencia (UV) Management for the second shift.

The first shift involves working one additional day, so these staff members will be compensated with an additional non-working day, subject to service needs.

Second shift
4 and 5 January 2027.

During this shift, on an exceptional basis, essential service and service staff will work, as determined by the University of Valencia (UV) Management, to ensure the continuity of essential services and tasks.

During these two shifts, the services will remain closed in the afternoon and the staff will be reassigned to the morning shift.

Saturdays on which services will be generally closed:

• January 3, 2026 (addendum 2025)
• January 24
• March 14, 21 and 28
• April 4 (Holy Saturday holiday), and 11
• May 2
• June 20 and 27
• July 4, 11, 18, and 25
• August 1, 8, 15 (Assumption of Mary), 22, and 29
• September 5, 12, 19, and 26
• October 10
• December 5 and 26
• January 2, 2027

If the public holiday for the start of the academic year is established on a Friday, the following Saturday will be a holiday with a general closure.

In services without a fixed day of service, staff will be divided into two shifts to enjoy a holiday of their choice between 23 Janaury and 7 December 2025. 

It is foreseen that all staff will be able to take 6 days of personal leave or the equivalent in proportion to the time worked during the calendar year.

The days of personal leave corresponding to 2026 can be used until 28 February 2027.

In addition, UV staff will have one more day of leave, on 20 March 2026, corresponding to the compensatory day of 15 August, in accordance with the provisions of point 7 of the general calendar of the UV.
