Requesting a product means requesting the use license for the product. It is necessary to request as many using licenses as computers there are to install it in.
The license request product changes depending on the type of license.
In all cases, when generating a request a number which identifies the product is generated in the request system of the University of Valencia (solicitudes.uv.se) to enable its monitoring.
We recommend to read the agreement for the final users before generating the request as the generation of a request implies reading and accepting the using conditions expressed in the agreement mentioned above.

Software with campus license
The license requesting process automatically generates a software license request chosen with the name chosen by the user who is registered in the application.
In case the user already has an assigned license for that software, an informative note will be sent through the requesting screen, showing the user the number of licenses already assigned for that product so that he can choose between continuing or generating a request for a new license or cancel the process.
This type of request is immediately finished and the permission to access the server is assigned to the corresponding folder.

Limited Campus Software License
This type of license corresponds to products that, despite being classified having a campus license, the quantity of available licenses is limited and needs an additional control to distribute them.
In this case, for example, the software for servers by Microsoft (limited in number in the agreement of Microsoft Campus licenses), the operating system or antivirus for Apple systems, which do not have a campus license and acquires packages of licenses, but is distributed free of cost for the users who request it.
These are cases in which you cannot admit the generation of a request because of an error or in an involuntary.
In this case, the user who will use the software has to fill in and send a necessary form to generate a request and, additionally, print, sign and mail it to the Information Systems Service.

Single or periodic payment Software
This type of software needs a payment for the use licenses, which can be single or periodic (usually annual).
In order to request this type of licenses, there is a Web form which needs to be sent to request the license and additionally send the corresponding page for the request with the users’ signatures and the requestor’s authorizing the payment in the code. The page can be sent via intern mail or fax. In case you send it via fax, it is convenient to save the original in case the fax gets lost or never arrives.
This type of requests can only be processed once the signed page is received.
Obviously, the signed page has to correspond to the generated request and must not have deletions or corrections.
