Set in 1953, it narrates the real conflict that, in defence of independent journalism, the journalist and presenter of CBS Edward R. Murrow (David Strathairn) and its producer Fred Friendly (George Clooney) had against the powerful anti-communist senator Joseph McCarthy, which determined the end of the “witch-hunt”.
