NOTICE: The Universitat de València has activated level 3 emergency protocols. The Emergency Committee has suspended all in-person activities starting at 1:00 p.m. and has ordered the closure of all the buildings and facilities. Consequently, the Servei de Llengües has cancelled the Tastallengües event, which was scheduled for October 1, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. onwards at Espai Vives.
The University organises this event at the beginning of each semester (in September or October and February) to help you meet local and international students and practise the languages you like in a casual context. You are welcome to bring along and share typical food and/or drinks of your culture. Attendance is free and open to everyone who studies or works at the University (although the venue has limited capacity). The aim is to welcome international students and to promote multilingualism.

Programme
7 p.m.: "The language of Valencia: how to learn it at the University simply by sharing yours", by Graeme Berman, language specialist at the languages learning centres.
7.30 p.m.: Intercultural evening meal. Picadeta valenciana and cuisine exchange: you are welcome to bring food and/or drinks of your culture (no alcohol, please). Leave shyness at home, take this chance to meet people from all origins and arrange language exchanges with them.
9 p.m.: Folk concert and party with the band Urbàlia Rurana.
