The students of the Legal Clinic for Social Justice of the University of Valencia met today with the president of CERMICV to deliver the report «International and national standards of protection of persons with disabilities and their application by the courts of the Valencian Community. A critical analysi ». This report, that will be presented on December 3 in parliament of the Valencia Community, performs a normative and jurisprudential research of the international, state and regional legislation in the first case, and limited to the Valencian Community in the second. Thus, it has been done, on one hand, to identify international standards of protection of people with disabilities and how they have been received in our legal system, and on the other, to evaluate how this protection is materialized by judicial decisions. The final scope of this work is to assess from a critical point of view, possible divergences between the international and the national protections, to suggest ways of action to public authorities.
