The Libraries and Documentation Service began its first self-assessment process in December 2010, in the context of the strategic line 1 of the Libraries Sector Plan 2010 inside the Pla Estratègic de la Universitat de València [2008- 2011].

The objective of the Libraries and Documentation Service is to reach the highest quality in the provision of its services.
Following this line, we have begun the self-evaluation. This will be a process of reflection that will allow obtaining a full view of the strengths, and the weakness and, especially of the improvement lines. The process should be as participatory as possible among the users and the library staff in order to reach this goal.
