The lichen collection (VAL_Lich) presents lichen leaf and lichenicolous fungi. Among the specimens there are nomenclatural types, of great scientific value, being specimens that have been used in the description of new species, among which there are holotypes, isotypes and an epitype. It also presents specifications of species that are part of the red list of the Valencian Community. The funds of the collection have a purpose mainly focused on research activities; however the collection also participates in information dissemination activities.
