This exhibition commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Ringstraße, a boulevard whose construction symbolically marked the entrance of the city of Vienna into modernity. On May 1st 1865, Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria, in the presence of Empress Elisabeth (better known as Sissi) inaugurated this iconic avenue. The works ended just before the start of the First World War.
On 17th February at 21.00, as part of the programme of the exhibition, the film Die freudlose Gasse (1925) –a key film in the history of German cinema- will be shown at Fabrika12. Location: 12B, Marqués de Caro St. More information: http://goo.gl/Hu4AGA
