“Promoting innovation, encouraging impactful ideas, and recognising the effort that begins in the classroom.” With this purpose, the Final Gala of the UVemprén Awards 2026 was held on 8 July 2026. The initiative aims to encourage students to showcase their entrepreneurial talent.
The event was attended by Juan Luis Gandía, Rector of the Universitat de València; Rosa M.ª Bo Bonet, Vice-Rector for Students, Educational Transformation and Lifelong Learning; and Sonia Marín Belmonte, technician at the University's Entrepreneurship Unit.
This year's edition received 54 proposals from the University's different faculties and schools. Following an initial evaluation phase, twelve projects advanced to the final round, with each finalist receiving a €500 prize.
Among the projects recognised, the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication achieved an outstanding result thanks to the runner-up prize, worth €500, awarded to Pedro José Moreno Lozano, a student on the Master's Degree in Advanced Hispanic Studies, for his project Lenguajesicales. The initiative was developed within the Faculty's entrepreneurship pre-incubator programme.
Lenguajesicales is an educational innovation, research, and outreach project that brings together music, literature, and the performing arts as tools to foster language learning, expressive communication, and the transmission of cultural heritage. The project promotes active and experiential learning methodologies, particularly for the teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language (SFL), through musical, rhythmic, and theatrical resources that encourage student participation, creativity, and engagement. It also combines the design of teaching materials, specialised training, interdisciplinary research, and knowledge transfer, providing innovative solutions for educational institutions, universities, and cultural organisations.
This recognition highlights the innovative nature of the project and its potential to generate a meaningful impact, while also reflecting the high quality of the entrepreneurial initiatives emerging from our Faculty.
