  • October 21st, 2025

The I International Conference on Applied Cognitive Linguistics (CLaRe) is a three-day hybrid academic event taking place from 19 to 21 November 2025 at the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication, University of Valencia, as well as online.

Organized by the Research Group on Applied Cognitive Linguistics (CLaRe2025-671), the conference aims to provide a vibrant forum for researchers, educators, and practitioners interested in the cognitive foundations of language and their real-world applications.

Under the theme “Cognition in Action: Language, Meaning, and Communication in Context”, CLaRe 2025 explores how language interacts with perception, memory, emotion, attention, and cultural experience, shaping how humans conceptualize and communicate. Presentations and panel discussions will cover a wide range of topics, including such as pedagogical grammar and Construction Grammar, translation and specialized discourse, figurative language, pragmatics and functionalism, as well as applications of Cognitive Linguistics in technological and educational settings.

The programme features plenary lectures by leading international scholars, research presentations, and discussion sessions focusing on innovative approaches in applied cognitive linguistics. Participants will also engage with contrastive perspectives, pedagogical applications, and methodologies designed to bridge theory and practice.

Participation in the conference is free of charge, but registration is required by sending an email to clarecog@uv.es with your full name and mode of attendance (on-site or online).
