Today we celebrated World Book Day with the award ceremony of the IV Digital Literary Genres Competition of the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication. The winners of the literary videoessay were Marina Climent and Maía Sabando, students of the Degree in English Studies, for “Committed to Blood”, an artistic and research project that explores destructive motherhood in Jesmyn Ward's novel, Savage the Bones. The award for best video poem went to Carla Villeta and Paula Quintanilla, from the Degree in Audiovisual Communication, for their recreation of the poem “Ces’t drôle”. The quality and creativity of the works presented was impressive.

The competition was coordinated by prof. Anna Brígido, director of the consolidated teaching innovation group NAPCED (New applications of Critical Pedagogy and digital education to literature and audiovisual culture).
Congratulations!
