Professor Carme Barceló Torres has passed away. She was first dean of the School of Philology, Translation and Communication (1985-1986), director of the Department of Catalan Philology (1998-2002), Full Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies, member of the IIFV (1995-2002) and honorary professor till now.
