Professor of Journalism Lucía Sapiña has been named as new director of the radio of the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication of the University of Valencia, #EspaiPòdcast. Lucía Sapiña replaces professor Maria Josep Picó, current vice dean for Communication, Equality, Inclusive Policies and Sustainability.

Lucía Sapiña is journalist and PhD n Historical and Social Studies on Science, Medicine and Scientific Communication. For the past two seasons, he has been co-hosting the popular science videopodcast Mètode Pòdcast. Her areas of research include health communication and the relationship between journalism and science. She is a member of the research group ‘INNOCAST – The podcast as an emerging journalistic phenomenon. Innovation in radio narratives and formats’, led by Carlos Olano, professor and the university’s Vice-Rector for Communication, Engagement and Transparency.

#EspaiPòdcast, the voice of the faculty

#EspaiPòdcast is the radio studio open to the academic community of the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication for helping them to develop their communication projects. Over the years, the programming has diversified and today features programmes covering a wide range of the topics, interests and areas of expertise found within the faculty.

The #EspaiPòdcast studio is located on the ground floor of the faculty.
