Online workshop on Japanese culture

The Facultat de Filologia, Traducció i Comunicació - Universitat de València and the Japan Foundation invite you to participate in the second workshop on Japanese culture.

If you have ever been to Japan, you will surely have learnt about the custom of taking your shoes off when entering a house, school, or traditional premises and using slippers instead to protect inner space from street dust.

Participants will learn how to make their own slippers using strips of cloth in a kind of handicraft known as "nuno zori".

The workshop is suitable for all levels and will be taught by Yuko Nakajima.

The workshop is free of charge and includes the materials, which will be sent to you by post. For this reason, places are very limited, and any cancellation once the materials have been sent will be penalised and the person will not be able to participate in future workshops. We ask for your understanding and responsibility in registering.
