Academic, scientific or professional interest:

Nursing graduates base their professional decisions on a social commitment to their professional field and to society in general. They collaborate in order to improve the living conditions, health and well-being of the population that they offer their services to, and act according to scientific, humanistic and ethical principles based on respect for life, equality between men and women, the environment and human dignity. With their knowledge and skills, they contribute towards the promotion and protection of health, prevention of illness and maintenance and restoration of individual, family and community health by providing integral care.

Worth Noting:

The Degree in Nursing allows graduates to work as nurses, according to Spanish and European laws.

To study Nursing, it is advisable that students have some prior knowledge of biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics.

It is required that students take at least one of the five available optional subjects. Practical sessions are an essential part of the degree; for this reason, over a third (82.5 credits) of the degree’s total 240 credits are granted for internships in health institutions (health centres, auxiliary doctor’s consultancies, hospitals, family planning units, mental health centres, etc).
