A study provides new evidence on MSCA-DN

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Networks go beyond training, helping researchers develop the skills, experience and networks needed for diverse career paths.

New findings highlight their impact:

  • 9 in 10 doctoral researchers are employed within one year of finishing their PhD
  • 3.5 times more likely to move into businesses and non-academic sectors
  • Far greater international and intersectoral experience than their peers

The strength of MSCA lies in its broad approach to researcher development, preparing doctoral candidates for careers across academia, industry, policy and beyond, across borders, disciplines and sectors.

A European Research Executive Agency (REA) study provides new evidence on how MSCA Doctoral Networks contribute to researchers’ career development and to research environments more broadly.
