This line of research focuses on the study of the impact of environmental exposures on health and quality of life across the life course, from early stages such as the prenatal period to adulthood. From an epidemiological and public health perspective, particular emphasis is placed on environmental exposures during pregnancy and early life stages, as well as their relationship with physical and mental development, the emergence of disorders throughout childhood, adolescence, and adulthood, and their long-term effects on health and well-being.
It also addresses the interaction between environmental, biological, and social factors in the comprehensive development of individuals, incorporating the analysis of social determinants, lifestyles, and health inequalities. Special attention is given to specific populations, such as middle-aged women, examining their physical and mental health status and the influence of social, economic, and behavioral factors on their quality of life.
The overall aim is to generate scientific evidence to support the design of prevention and health promotion strategies based on environmental factors, as well as to reduce health inequalities across the life...This line of research focuses on the study of the impact of environmental exposures on health and quality of life across the life course, from early stages such as the prenatal period to adulthood.
