They will also be offered a game about the exposition of the forests that will be placed at the central corridor. The activity has been subsidised by the Language Policy Service of the Universitat de València. Once the gymkhana of the exhibit “Forests to the people”, the workshops will be available.
  • Point 2. “Soil, Nendo-Dango”. In this stop, attendees will learn about the importance soil has in a forest and they will make a workshop with Nendo-Dango, a technique used to reforest with native plants.
  • Point 3. “Recycled paper”, to educate about the importance of the forests and the numerous benefits we get from it. The expense on paper implies the loss of forests. That is why the paper workshop is a way of educating about the need for a sustainable usage.

  • Point 5. “The role of the forest as a water manager. The cycle of water”. In this stop, attendees will see how small greenhouses can be made with recycled materials. These will serve to explain the cycle of water and the importance of the forests as generators. Youngest attendees will make a facial make up workshop, with homologated materials.
  • Point 6. “Mediterranean forest”. Explanation of the Mediterranean Forest and the aromatic plants that attendees will discover, where the scent is and how to extract it. After that, they will make a bag of dried aromatic plants that also is used as mothballs and to remember the role of these plants.
  • Point 7. “The Lath House”. Like every year, the Contacontes will locate with this space. There will be various sessions in order to facility the attendance.
  • Point 8. “Chemical forest”. To commemorate the International Year of Chemistry (2011), attendees will be able to take a “chemical forest” with them, a way to unify two celebrations: the International Year of Chemistry and the International Year of the Forests.
