The National University of Taiwan (NTU) has published the 2017 edition, which analyses the productivity and impact of research excellence in scientific publications from the world's 800 best universities.

This ranking places the University of Valencia in position 232 worldwide, 93rd at European level and 3rd nationally. In addition, it also stands out in the following areas: in Agricultural Sciences, in the 51st position worldwide, 14 in Europe and 1 nationally. In Chemistry, it is ranked 128th in the world, 31st in Europe and 2nd in Spain; in Physics, 132nd in the world, 46th in Europe and second in Spain.
