Professor Rosanna Cantavella's specialisms are Medieval Catalan Literature and Digital Humanities. She holds her chair at the Universitat de València and is also Life Member of Clare Hall, University of Cambridge.

In her long career she has been a pioneer in areas like the use of computers to Humanities research, the study of women in medieval literature, sex education in the Middle Ages, or rhyme theory within the troubadour tradition. She has undertaken her research on Isabel de Villena, Ausiàs March, Jaume Roig, Joan Roís de Corella and the medieval novel Tirant lo Blanc, among other subjects.

Maria-Josep Cuenca is a Professor of Catalan Linguistics at the University of Valencia (Spain) and member of the  Institut Interuniversitari de Filologia Valenciana and of the  Catalan Language Academy (Institut d’Estudis Catalans). Her research focusses on text grammar and discourse analysis, especially, deixis, compound sentences, connectives, discourse markers and interjections, among other subjects related to the interface between syntax and discourse. She is also interested in similes and metaphor in the general framework of Cognitive Linguistics. She has been visiting scholar in different universities, such as Università degli Studi di Venezia University of California at Berkeley, Stanford University and University of Cambridge.

Cuenca is a member of the spin-off Tecnolingüística, S.L., where she is in charge of the coordination of the area of translation, and is also a translator mainly from English and Italian to Catalan and Spanish. Cuenca has been the director of the project Gramàtica Essencial de la Llengua Catalana at the Institut d’Estudis Catalans, which resulted in two grammars: Gramàtica Essencial de la Llengua Catalana (2018, geiec.iec.cat) and Gramàtica Bàsica i d’Ús de la Llengua Catalana (2019).

Cuenca was Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and PhD Studies between 2002 and 2007.

In 2020, she was awarded with the distinction “Creu de Sant Jordi” from the Generalitat de Catalunya for her contributions to the knowledge and dissemination of the grammar of Catalan.

Full Professor at the Department of Catalan Philology at the University of Valencia, member of the Institut Interuniversitari de Filologia Valenciana, corresponding member of the Reial Acadèmia de Bones Lletres de Barcelona and associate researcher at the Centre de Recherches Interdisciplinaires sur les Mondes Ibéro -Américains Contemporains (CRIMIC, Sorbonne University). She is the director of Càtedra Joan Fuster.
As a researcher, she has specialized in contemporary Catalan literature and, more specifically, in narrative and essays. His main lines of research are fantastic literature, brevity, irony and hypertextuality. He has edited the poetry of Miquel Duran de València and several miscellaneous volumes, such as L'empremta del mite en la literatura del primer terç del segle XX or Realisme i compromís en la narrativa de la postguerra europea, among others; has published the books: Pere Calders, tòpics i subversions de la tradició fantàstica, Anotacions al marge. Els aforismes de Joan Fuster and, in collaboration with F. Ardolino, G. López-Pampló and P. Rosselló, Escriure és reescriure. Anàlisis i testimonis en la literatura actual, in addition to dozens of articles and book chapters on authors such as Carme Riera, Jesús Moncada, Mercè Rodoreda, Quim Monzó, Víctor Català or Jordi Sarsanedas, among others. Principal researcher of a research group that brings together researchers from different universities and is currently developing a project on hypertextuality in contemporary Catalan literature.

Jesús Jiménez Martínez, graduate in Hispanic Philology (specialty: Valencian) by Universitat de València (1990). Doctor in Philology by Universitat de València (1997), with the PhD dissertation L'estructura sil·làbica del dialecte valencià, supervised by professors Ángel López-García and Manuel Pérez Saldanya. Special distinction award for his degree and special distinction award for his PhD. He currently works as a senior lecturer at the Department of Catalan Philology, Universitat de València (1999). Since September 2018 he is the head of the Department of Catalan Philology; he has also acted as a secretary of the Department of Catalan Philology (2002-2006) and as a head of studies of the Degree in Catalan Philology (2010-2015). He is a member of the Institut Interuniversitari de Filologia Valenciana (2008). His areas of teaching and investigation focus on Catalan phonetics and phonology, linguistic variation, dialectology and text edition. In these fields, he is the supervisor of the Catalan phonetics and phonology team at the Universitat de València (GIUV2013-137) and takes part in the research project Gevad (Grup d'estudi de la variació dialectal), from the Universitat de Barcelona (current project: PID2020-113971GB-C21; main researchers: C. Pons-Moll, M.-R. Lloret), and in the Grup d'estudi de la variació (GEV), a project attached to the Universitat of Barcelona as well (2017SGR942; main researcher: Lluís Payrató). He has authored the book L'estructura sil·làbica del català (PAM / IIFV, 1999) and different articles in monographs and journals such as Caplletra, Catalan Journal of Linguistics, Cultura, Lenguaje y Representación, Estudios Catalanes, Estudios de Fonética Experimental, Estudis Romànics, Italian Journal of Linguistics, Revista de Filología de la Universidad de la Laguna, Revista de Filología Románica, RLA - Revista de Lingüística Teórica y Aplicada, Probus, Treballs de Sociolingüística Catalana, Verba, Zeitschrift für Katalanistik or Zeitschrift für romanische Philologie.

Gonçal López-Pampló (Valencia, 1982) holds degrees in Catalan Studies (UV) and English Studies (UNED). Master in Education and e-learning (UOC), he obtained his doctorate in 2016 with a thesis directed by Professor Carme Gregori Soldevila, which dealt with essay as a literary genre. In the same field, he has published the books D'Ors a Fuster. Per una història de l'assaig en la literatura contemporània  (PUV, 2017) and Primera lliçó sobre l'assaig (PAM / CMT, 2023), as well as several contributions to collective books, academic journals and conferences. Associate professor since 2007, between 2014 and 2022 he held the position of literary director at Edicions Bromera and Algar Editorial. In September 2022, he has become a full-time professor in the Department of Catalan Philology.

Eulàlia Miralles Jori (Barcelona, 1971). After studying Catalan Philology at the Universitat de Barcelona (1994), I undertook predoctoral research at the Universitat de Barcelona (1996-1999). I obtained my Phd in 2001 at the same University, where I have been a researcher and assistant lecturer (2000; 2002). From 2002-2004 I was a postdoc researcher at the Universitat de Girona, from 2006-2008 a researcher at the same University, in 2008 a researcher at the Universidad de Córdoba and from 2008-2010 a postdoc researcher at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. In 2011 I accepted a position of contracted lecturer at the Universitat of València, and since 2012 I am associate professor of Catalan Philology at the Universitat de València. I taught at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (since 2007) and as a visiting professor at the universities of Nottingham (2009), Roma-Tre (2013), Ca’Foscari in Venice (2015) and Sassari (2021). I am a member of the Institut Interuniversitari de Filologia Valenciana, the Aula Carles Riba at the Universitat de Barcelona / Institut d'Estudis Catalans, the Institut de Llengua i Cultura Catalanes at the Universitat de Girona and the Center for Catalan Studies at the University of California-Santa Barbara. My research focuses on the study of literary culture in Early Modern Ages, from XVth to XIXth centuries, with a particular interest on non-fictional works as historiography, cronicles, diaries, memories, daybooks, etc., specially during the period of the Baroque. More specifically, I works on textual criticism (in catalan, spanish and latin) and cultural history. Since some years, I am interested on historical and political literature (fictional and non-fictional), the history of identities and counteridentities (specially on the construction of national catalan identity), cultured poetry (Joan Pujol and Francesc Fontanella, among others) and gender studies (secular women).

He holds a degree in Hispanic Philology (Valencian Philology section) (1988) and a PhD in Catalan Philology from the University of Valencia, where he is a university professor in the Department of Catalan Philology. From 2002-2009, he was director of this department. He took over the direction of the Institut Interuniversitari de Filologia Valenciana from February 2015 to February 2019. He has been coordinator at the Universitat de València of the subject of Valencià: llengua i literatura in PAU (2000-2016) and president of the Examining Committee of the speciality of Correcció de Textos of the JQCV (2003-2018). He is currently vice-president of the Acadèmia Valenciana de la Llengua (since 2017).

Rafael Roca is PhD Assitant Lecturer in the Department of Catalan Philology at the University of Valencia, and Registrar of the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication. He is a member of the Institut Interuniversitari de Filologia Valenciana (IIFV), Associació Internacional de Llengua i Literatura Catalanes (AILLC), Institut Superior d’Investigacions Científiques-IVITRA and the delegate member of the Reial Acadèmia de Bones Lletres de Barcelona (RABLB). His main research interests include the study of Contemporary Catalan Literature, with a special focus on the institutions and writers of the nineteenth century. In this regard, he has published many articles in journals and he has authored and edited many books. He is a member of the editorial board of the journals Scripta. Revista Internacional de Literatura i Cultura Medieval i Moderna and Revista Valenciana de Filologia.

Vicent Simbor Roig, previously professor, is currently professor emeritus of the Department of Catalan Philology at the University of Valencia. He has mainly devoted himself to the research of contemporary Catalan literature. He has also been attracted by the analysis of the linguistic problems of the same period, with special attention to the grammatical standardization and the elaboration of the literary language.
