Research group on action and intervention for social change - InterCanvi

Reference of the Group:

GIUV2023-549

Description of research activity:
The research group addresses different aspects of the theory and practice of action and intervention for social change. It also addresses the structural context of change, new forms of exclusion and growing global risks to the sustainability of life. To address these issues, the group particularly works on cross-cutting approaches and issues such as the gender approach, the rights approach, diversity, new technologies, social innovation, the social economy, sustainability and the ethics of care. Based on social work, the group approach is highly interdisciplinary. It seeks to connect distinct disciplines and branches within the social sciences. The group has a clearly transformative vocation and a connection with the professional and organisational practice of social work and other disciplines. In fact, its members have a broad professional, activist and advisory background in organisations. For this reason, the group has the vocation to carry out academic activity that is highly focused on the transfer and application of knowledge, particularly in relation to public administration and social organisations. To approach its aims, the group applies very diverse methodologies,...The research group addresses different aspects of the theory and practice of action and intervention for social change.
