Detail of the poster

The Universitat de València, the Technology Park and Incliva Health Care Research Institute have organised the initiative VLC-Health Ecosystem with the aim of promoting the innovation in the health and life quality sectors. The presentation day will be celebrated today (Thursday) at the Botanical Garden of the Universitat de València and it is specially addressed to all the organisations and companies related to R&D&I in health in the Metropolitan Area of Valencia.

The provision of health and social care presents an unprecedented challenge to us due to the aging of population, one of the main challenges that Europe has to face in the next years and that implies an increasing services demand and a strong financial pressure. Against this situation, the creation of health ecosystems within the framework of the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Aging (EIP-AHA) is being promoted. This initiative of the European Commission covers the entire value chain of research and investigation in order to better integrate and coordinate actors -at European, national, regional and local level- and achieve a critical mass that helps creating innovative solutions. And that also leads to services and products that contribute to improve the citizens’ quality of life and the sustainability of the health and social system.

STABLE COLABORATION PLATFORMS

The action lines ofVLC-Health Ecosystemare chronic diseases through the promotion of healthy life habits and the early diagnosis; the health and personalised care, digital technology for Health, tourism and life quality.  To do so, the Universitat de València and INCLIVA contemplate to act at two levels. On the one hand, gathering the main actors of the innovation system in health, welfare and social care of Valencia in a stable collaboration platform, in order to accelerate the adoption of innovative solutions that respond to the challenges in terms of health and social welfare.  And on the other hand, being part of the international network European Connected Health Alliance-ECHAlliance that connects with more than 25 ecosystems in Europe and North America. In addition, it works in collaboration with its counterpart China Connected Health Alliance

Health ecosystems and their participants share through an international network good practice, opportunities and they face challenges as one.  This relationship will make it possible for VLC-HEALTH to collaborate with the ecosystems of the network and it will contribute to the external projection of Valencian companies and to a bigger impact in the international scene.
