The UV research groups (GIUV) are regulated in the 1st chapter of the Regulation ACGUV48/2013, which explains the procedure for creating new research structures. They are basic research and organizational structures that result from the voluntary association of researchers that share objectives, facilities, resources and common lines of research. These researchers are also committed to the consolidation and stability of their activity, work in groups and the capability to achieve a sustainable funding.
The research groups included in the previously mentioned Regulation are registered in the Register of Research Structures of the Universitat de València (REIUV), managed by the Office of the Vice-principal for Research. The basic information of these organisms can be found in this website.

Description of research activity: La definición del art. 1 CE del Estado español como un Estado social, además de democrático y de derecho, presupone una opción política en la que los poderes públicos han de asumir un papel garante de los derechos económicos y sociales constitucionalizados en el capítulo III del Título I dentro de un orden económico que, aun siendo de libre mercado, no puede obviar que la riqueza del país se supedita constitucionalmente al interés general, reconociéndose la iniciativa pública en la actividad económica, la promoción eficaz de las diversas formas de participación en la empresa y el acceso de los trabajadores a la propiedad de los medios de producción. Sin ignorar los límites, reales o supuestos, que a dicho marco impone la pertenencia a la Unión Europea del Estado español, el grupo de investigación orienta su actividad a la indagación jurídica multidisciplinar acerca de cuáles son los imperativos que tal orden constitucional impone a la intervención pública en la economía y, en particular, en relación con los agentes económicos socialmente innovadores.

- Satisfaction of general interest purposes through the public politics ordinates to the foment of economic models socially innovative: normative aspect.Regulatory policy proposals aimed at fulfilling purposes of general interest through financial incentive measures aimed at people and entities, promoting economic activities that implement cross-cutting social objectives.
- Collaboration between Public Administration and social economy businesses in the management of public services.Legal analysis and proposals for public-private partnership formulas between the public sector and social economy entities for the provision of public services: public promotion of social enterprises, indirect management of public services through mixed social economy companies and participation.
