The UV research groups (GIUV) are regulated in the 1st chapter of the Regulation ACGUV48/2013, which explains the procedure for creating new research structures. They are basic research and organizational structures that result from the voluntary association of researchers that share objectives, facilities, resources and common lines of research. These researchers are also committed to the consolidation and stability of their activity, work in groups and the capability to achieve a sustainable funding.
The research groups included in the previously mentioned Regulation are registered in the Register of Research Structures of the Universitat de València (REIUV), managed by the Office of the Vice-principal for Research and Scientific Policies. Description of research activity: The REDOLi group seeks to improve society through research in the fields of recognition, sustainability and innovation. The REDOLi group carries out its research in the fields of recognition, sustainability and innovation. Its lines of work include:
- Development of molecules and nanomaterials for sensors.
- Development and application of electronic noses and tongues
- Development of molecules and nanomaterials to modulate the activity of proteins, in particular the enzymes polyphenol oxidase and lipase/pancreatin.

Research lines: - Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).We develop life cycle analyses on demand for the study of the environmental impact of products and processes. Both for existing systems and for new research developments.
- Sensors.Development of sensors based on changes in optical or electrochemical properties, both from molecules and materials or hybrid systems. In particular, work is being done on the development of electronic noses and tongues. As for the sectors, developments are focused on the agricultural sector.
- Protein activity regulation.Development of molecules and materials with the ability to modulate (activate or inhibit) the activity of proteins. In particular of the enzymes polyphenol oxidase and lipase/pancreatin.
- New materials and more sustainable processes in the chemical and food industries.Development of strategies for more sustainable processes and products, in particular in the chemical, materials and food industries. It also includes dissemination and training in current aspects of bioeconomy, circular economy and climate change.
- Applications and characterization studies of electrolized water.Electrolysed water generation, analysis, stability and application studies of electrolysed water.
- Microwave assisted chemical synthesis.Development of molecule and nanomaterial synthesis using solid-state microwaves.
