The UV research groups (GIUV) are regulated in the 1st chapter of the Regulation ACGUV48/2013, which explains the procedure for creating new research structures. They are basic research and organizational structures that result from the voluntary association of researchers that share objectives, facilities, resources and common lines of research. These researchers are also committed to the consolidation and stability of their activity, work in groups and the capability to achieve a sustainable funding.
The research groups included in the previously mentioned Regulation are registered in the Register of Research Structures of the Universitat de València (REIUV), managed by the Office of the Vice-principal for Research and Scientific Policies. Description of research activity: The Research Group on Clinical Simulation and Healthcare Quality develops research, innovation and transfer activities in the field of clinical simulation applied to health sciences. Its lines of work focus on the design, implementation and evaluation of simulation methodologies aimed at clinical learning, the acquisition of technical and non-technical skills, patient safety and the improvement of the quality of care. The group develops applied research on training based on high- and medium-fidelity simulation, structured debriefing, competency-based assessment, clinical communication, teamwork and decision-making in complex healthcare contexts. It also promotes projects related to teaching innovation, interprofessional training and the development of safe learning environments for professionals and students in health sciences. The group's activities include collaboration with health and academic institutions for the design of training programs, evaluation of results in health education and analysis of the impact of clinical simulation on healthcare practice and clinical safety
