The Gastronomy Classroom was created to offer training activities in gastronomic culture and to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge of gastronomy. The Aula's programme aims to show the gastronomic phenomenon from very different perspectives in order to promote a more global knowledge and to highlight its relationship with experimental and technological sciences, as well as with social and humanistic ones. In this sense, activities will be programmed that will address different topics, such as raw materials, nutritional value, culinary techniques, sustainability, historical evolution, economic, social and cultural aspects of gastronomy, all with the aim of offering a wide range of possibilities to connect different profiles to the voltage of the gastronomic universe. Professionals from the gastronomy and related sectors, representatives of institutions, teachers and students were involved in the development of the programme. In addition, joint activities are carried out with other areas of culture.
