The International Double Degree Programmes were initially launched by the Faculty of Economics. Since GEDE and GEE Programmes were introduced in the early 1990s our students have had the chance of spending two years abroad at a partner university, achieving then a dual degree in two different fields of study.

Therefore, an IDD is a specific study path established between two universities, usually located in two different countries, which allows the students to earn two official degrees upon completion of the programme, as long as the specific requirements set for the programme are met.

Indeed, Double Degrees are considered to provide graduates with a competitive advantage at the labour market and reaching higher levels of mobility among countries.

The current degree study plan of four academic years allows students to stay during the firsts two years at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia and the two last (third and fourth year) at a partner university.

Students from Double Degree programmes, both Erasmus+ and International Programme, are selected among those who are in second year according to the criteria published in the calls. Candidates can apply for Double Degrees if they achieve at least 90% of the ECTS credits from the first two years. Previously to the selection process they must prove they meet the language level requirements from the host university (some of them demand two language certificates: English and German or English and French).
