Cenozoic continental vertebrates’ collections are divided into two categories. Macromammals: it consists mainly on material coming from outcroppings of an exceptional mio-pliocene stratigraphic series with marine and continental sediments. Micromammals: it stands out the collection of recovered fossils from the Venta del Moro paleontological site, given the rich collection of fossils coming from this site and also for being the type locality of several fossils’ species.
