1) Registration
Registration will take place on Monday September 7 at 8h30 at the hall of the Block C of the Faculty of Physics.
2) Attendance control
An attendance control for the academic activities has been established for all participants who wish to receive a certificate of participation in the School, which is also required for undergraduate students of the BIP organising universities (University of Jyväskylä, Johannes Gutenberg-Mainz University, University of Palermo, University of Latvia, Universitat de València), Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, University of Burgundy and West University of Timisoara, who wish to obtain the 3 ECTS assigned to the School. Participants are kindly requested to show their badges at the entrance door of the conference room at the beginning of each session.
3) Recognition of ECTS credits
Undergraduate students from participating universities (València, Jyväskylä, Mainz, Palermo, Latvia, Sibiu, Burgundy and Timisoara) will be eligible for 3 ECTS credits by fulfilling the following evaluation criteria:
Option 1:
For those presenting a poster or an oral contribution:
- Minimum attendance of 80% of the hours.
- Oral presentation (15 minutes) or preparation of a poster with discussion in the poster session.
Option 2:
For those who do not present a poster or an oral contribution:
- Minimum attendance of 80% of the hours.
- Team preparation* of a presentation on one or two of the School's conferences, to be prepared remotely during the two weeks following the face-to-face part of the course.
*Teams will be made up of two or three students from different universities
4) Contributed talks and poster session
The last version of the School’s programme includes the distribution of the contributed talks and the poster session. Please the programme (see Second Circular) to check the schedule of your talk.
5) Booklet of abstracts and participants list
We have prepared a book of abstracts with the summaries of the invited conferences and the rest of the oral contributions, as well as the posters. The book also contains the list of participants and other interesting practical information.

6) Lunches
A special agreement has been set with the cafeteria of Pharmacy to serve menus for the School’s participants. Each participant is provided with four tickets (to be used from Monday to Thursday), which should be handed at the cash desk after picking up the menu.
7) Participation in the data analysis workshops ‘Hunting Exoplanets’ and ‘Eyes in the Sky: mapping wildfires with satellites’ (Tuesday 8th, 17h30) – Optional activity
In the computer rooms of the Faculty of Physics. This activity is aimed at participants who requested it on the registration form, subject to availability. In some cases, choices have had to be changed to make the best use of places. Please check your registration for this activity on your ID card.
8) Visit to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) and the Science Museum (Wednesday 9th, 16h00) – Optional activity
We have organised these two visits for those participants who requested them on the registration form, subject to availability. Please check your registration for the activity on your ID card. We will travel to both destinations by public transport (tram), setting off from the Pharmacy cafeteria after lunch.
9) Planetarium session at l’Hemisfèric (Wednesday 9th, 19h00)
L’Hemisfèric is located in the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències. Attendance at this activity is compulsory.
10) School’s Closing Lunch
The School’s closing lunch has been organised in the private dining area of the Pharmacy cafeteria. This is for participants who have confirmed their attendance at the lunch only. Please check your registration for the lunch on your ID card.
