To study a degree at the Universitat de València, students from an educational system from a non-EU country or one without an agreement with the UV must:

  1. Get an official recognition for their foreign pre-university studies. Responsible: Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sport.
  2. Get an access certification, which includes the university entrance grade (NAU). Responsible: UNEDasiss.
  3. To raise the university entrance grade, follow the planned procedure. Responsible: UNEDasiss.
  4. Participate in the access and admission procedure of the Universitat de València through the place application form in the Pre-enrolment procedure, which is the same for the five Valencian public universities. Responsible: Valencian Department of Education, Universities and Employment.
  5. Once a place is obtained in the pre-enrolment, the enrolment must be formalised.

1. Official recognition of pre-university studies

First, the applicant must request the official recognition of his or her foreign pre-university studies (bachillerato title or equivalent) to the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sport.

2. UNEDasiss Access Certification

UNEDasiss is a service which depends on the National Distance Education University (UNED) and which responsibility is to evaluate the academic records of international students, to issue the certification that allows to request a place through pre-enrolment and to carry out the tests for the access to the undergraduate studies in Spanish universities.
Once the official recognition has been requested, the applicants must contact UNEDasiss to ask for a certification of completed pre-university studies in their origin country. It is not necessary to wait for the certification resolution from the Ministry to do this step.  It can be requested presenting the certificate application note or the digital voucher which proves that the applicant has presented the documents for recognition. In this certification, there will be a grade in between 5 and 6 points, according to the grades obtained in the official recognition of bachillerato or an equivalent carried out in a foreign country.

  • Access to the UNEDasiss website to request the access certification forSpanish universities.
  • To ask for a question relative to this procedure or any other managed by the UNEDasiss, make a face-to-face appointment or set a video call in Contact UNEDasiss.

3. Raise the university entrance grade

It is important to know that, specially when aiming to access certain highly requested degrees, that the university access is calculated with a base of 14 points. Therefore, the Specific Competence Tests (PCE) must be carried out if the applicants wish to raise their access grade (obtained with the UNEDasiss official recognition).
