The State Research Agency (AEI) participates in this call of the CHIST-ERA net-era called Science in Your Own Language (SOL) with a budget for the Spanish entities that are selected of 600,000 euros.
The objective of the call is to finance projects that explore innovative solutions in automatic translation of scientific documents, allowing equitable access to knowledge in different languages. The selected proposals will contribute to the promotion of multilingualism in science and technology, facilitating international collaboration and the inclusion of diverse scientific communities.
The funded projects will contribute to:
- Democratize access to scientific knowledge, allowing its dissemination in multiple languages.
- Increase the visibility of research published in languages other than English.
- Facilitate the use of scientific data in various sectors through interoperable tools.
- Develop innovative technologies in the translation of complex scientific documents.
With this initiative, the State Research Agency, with the support of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), reinforces its commitment to Open Science, ensuring that the results of the funded projects are accessible free of charge and transparently.
The submission of proposals follows a single-stage procedure, with deadline April 15, 2025 at 5 p.m. CEST.
