The call for proposals for the European Research Council (ERC) 2026 Advanced Grant, within the European research and innovation framework programme Horizon Europe, has been published. It will remain open until 27 August 2026.

The call is aimed at senior scientists, meaning applicants are expected to be active researchers with significant achievements. Evaluation is based on the scientific excellence of the researcher and their project.

The European grant will be up to €2.5 million per project for a maximum period of 5 years. There is the possibility of obtaining additional funding under certain circumstances. Furthermore, ERC grants cover 100% of eligible direct costs, plus a 25% contribution to indirect costs.
