The Joint Transnational Call (JTC) 2026 is the first call launched under the European Partnership on Raw Materials for the Green and Digital Transition (RAMP). Its objective is to support research and innovation projects aimed at improving access to raw materials, strengthening circularity, enhancing sustainability, and reducing social and environmental impacts across the entire value chain.

The call covers the full raw materials value chain and addresses six thematic areas:

• Ensuring a resilient supply of raw materials from primary sources.
• Targeting secondary sources to improve access to raw materials.
• Efficient use of raw materials in design and production.
• Overcoming technological barriers to circularity.
• Implementing circular economy solutions.
• Innovative approaches to analysing raw materials value chains.

The call brings together 37 funding organisations from 25 countries, with a combined budget exceeding €39 million. Eligible consortia must include at least three partners from three different countries participating in the call. Concerning Spain, the participating agencies are the State Research Agency (AEI) and the Centre for Technical Industrial Development (CDTI).

Participation is open to universities, research organisations, companies of all sizes, public authorities and civil society organisations. Proposals are encouraged to connect different stages of the supply chain, foster interdisciplinary collaboration and engage relevant stakeholders.

The evaluation process will be conducted in two stages, and successful projects are expected to start between June and September 2027. The deadline for submitting pre-proposals is 22^nd September 2026 at 15.00 h.
