The research group ¿Sexual Education in Digital Environments (DIGITALSEX)¿ focuses its scholarly activity on the study of human sexuality in digital contexts. Its primary aim is to examine how digital environments and platforms shape the development of sexuality and affective relationships across the lifespan. The group¿s main lines of research include, first, the analysis of different forms of digital sexual violence, such as sexually explicit deepfakes, sexting, non-consensual dissemination of intimate images (revenge pornography), among others. Second, the group investigates sexual behaviour in social networking sites and dating applications. Finally, DIGITALSEX is engaged in the design, implementation, and evaluation of sexual health promotion strategies in educational and community settings.
