Consolidate the management of the cultural, natural and scientific heritage of the Universitat de València. It is necessary to make a clear commitment to the conservation and dissemination of the University's heritage in its different aspects: historical-artistic, natural history, scientific-technical and bibliographical. For proper management, it is essential to complete the inventories and their digitalisation, as well as to ensure their conservation and continue with the tasks of dissemination, always bearing in mind the universal accessibility of knowledge.
Promote greater participation of the campuses and centres in the cultural activities of the Universitat de València. We will establish institutional mechanisms and participative processes aimed at expanding the spaces and the capacity to develop the Universitat's cultural offer, counting on the university community as a whole. This will is framed within the growing demands of the campuses and centres to establish synergies with university culture and to favour their capacity for decision making and intervention in the development of their own cultural activities, as well as to consolidate a programme of travelling exhibitions and cultural activities in different spaces of the Universitat.
Establish mechanisms for the promotion of culture on university campuses as a means of integrating students into university life. Programmes such as Culture on Campus, Activa Cultura, Activa Fest and Activa Música have already been initiated, which seek to involve students as actors in the development of their own cultural projects. With these programmes, culture also aims to radiate from the Centro Cultural de la Nau to the students of the different campuses and to the future Espai Vives as a place of reference for students.
Generate an inclusive cultural policy adapted to the changing needs of the university community and Valencian society as a whole. We will continue with the structural change of our cultural policy, in order to fully comply with the considerations of the university as a structure that facilitates cultural activities and creativity, as a provider of cultural goods and services, as a space for research of excellence in culture, as a centre for training in culture and as a place for creation, considering culture as a tool for the projection and social commitment of the university.
Promote the transfer of knowledge of the research groups of the Universitat de València through the development of cultural projects. From a broad perspective of university culture, the aim is to promote, through calls for proposals, cultural creation and innovation as catalysts for the transfer of knowledge of our research groups.
Strengthen university outreach and relations with our territory and society. University extension is one of the fundamental axes included in the Statutes of our Universitat. It is essential to strengthen ties and generate work networks with the different cultural institutions: museums, theatres, auditoriums, etc., as well as with the main cultural agents. Likewise, work will be done to continue with relations with Valencian society in order to disseminate university culture in our territory.
Consolidate the Universitat de València as a cultural reference. We must take advantage of the experience gained in the programming of exhibitions and the cultural programme of the Centro Cultural de La Nau to consolidate our university as a point of reference in the world of culture and art, but also to show our own identity as a university and to disseminate university culture as a whole, which affects all our areas of knowledge.
Consolidate the quality policy of Publications of the Universitat de València. Publishing quality is one of the strategic lines of PUV. For this reason, the PUV imprint must continue to maintain the maximum quality standards required for university publications. At present, four PUV collections have the Seal of Academic Publishing Quality (CEA/APQ), promoted by the Union of Spanish University Publishers (UNE) and endorsed by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT); this number will increase in the coming years.
