The Faculty of Teacher Training applies the following sustainable and healthy practices:

  • A vegan menu is available.
  • All bottled drinks (water, soft drinks) are served in reusable containers, avoiding plastic bottles and aluminium cans.
  • A permanent area offers free glass pitchers and cups for easy refilling from the fountains.
  • Reusable aluminium bottles are available for purchase.
  • All tableware (cutlery, plates, glasses, and cups) is made of reusable materials.
  • Disposable tablecloths are prohibited on both tables and individual trays.
  • Food and drinks taken outside the premises are delivered in compostable packaging.
  • Two waste separation points are available: for organic waste, paper and cardboard, and light packaging.
  • Active communication of sustainability and nutrition measures via digital signage.
  • All fruits, vegetables, and greens served are fresh and seasonal, every day.
  • All coffee, teas, instant cocoa, and chocolate bars are fair trade.
  • A salad or vegetable dish is always available as a main first course and as a side dish with the two main dishes.
  • Two fruit options are offered as desserts every day.
  • A guaranteed selection of natural fruit juices, fresh fruit, and healthy nuts for snacking between meals.
  • Every two weeks, all vegetables and greens on the menu come from organic farming.
  • Citrus fruits (tangerine, orange, lime) come from the Valencian Community, with “Valencian Citrus” PGI or CAECV certification.
  • The menu does not include drinks, which are paid for separately to encourage water consumption from fountains.
