The Office of the Vice-Principal for Employment and Training Services of Universitat de València launched a pilot project of promotion of employability and labour insertion in Human Nutrition and Dietetic’s Degree, Criminology’s Degree and Political and Public Administration Sciences’ Degree, through its employment service, UVempleo and ADEIT-UV.
The Office of the Vice-Principal, led by Adela Valero, started this programme, aimed for three degrees with room for improvement in its employability rate, to meet the goal of continuing improving the labour insertion of the student body.
Interested people will carry out a 150 hours minimum of extracurricular internship in national and foreign companies between July and September of 2020.
Before that, they will have an initial meeting of specific orientation with the UVempleo techniques. Also, they will participate in the sessions of personal mark and job search through the social networks; entrepreneurship, creativity and change adaptability and effective communication.
The participants will also attend a networking session with the company where they will carry out their internship. In that session, they will describe themselves and their skills in an activity known as Elevator Pitch. They will prepare this session with the counsellors.
When the programme finish, will take place an acknowledgement where the best ‘Elevator Pitch’ will have an award given by the participating enterprises. Also, participation certificates will be handed and the participating entities and supervisors will be recognised and so on. Also, the project drivers will evaluate the employability of these degrees after the execution of the programme and also, a follow-up will be carried out for checking the results one year after.
