uniRank Facebook University™ provides information on the adoption of Facebook among higher education institutions by offering a non-academic ranking table of all universities worldwide based on the popularity (number of likes or fans count) of their Facebook homepage.
In this 2019 edition, 2019, 9.528 out of a total of 13.598 higher education institutions included in the uniRank database have adopted an official institutional Facebook page, resulting in a Facebook Adoption Taxa of 70,07% worldwide.
In this ranking universities must also meet the selection criteria established by uniRank
• being accredited, licensed and/or chartered by the appropriate higher education-related organization in each country
• offering at least four-year undergraduate degrees (Bachelor degrees) and/or postgraduate degrees (Master or Doctoral degrees)
• delivering courses predominantly in a traditional face-to-face, non-distance education format
