The University of Valencia leads six of the eleven subjects in the Times Higher Education (THE) ranking on a Valencian scale
The University of Valencia (UV) leads six of the eleven subjects in the Times Higher Education (THE) ranking by subjects on a Valencian scale, a classification that measures teaching, research, citations, the international perspective, reputation and the industry income at the university level. On a Spanish scale, the institution has improved compared to 2019 in Physics and also in Life Sciences, where it is in the 3-7 and 3-9 ranges, respectively. Another ranking, the Best Global Universities, prepared by the magazine U.S. News & World Report, confirms that the UV is 12th in the world in Agricultural Sciences and 92 in Environmental and Occupational Health.

The University of Valencia, first in Spain and 26th in the world in Agricultural Sciences, according to the Taiwan ranking
The University of Valencia (UV) has improved its position in the Taiwan ranking, an international classification on university performance based on scientific publications and citations. Thus, the institution advances to position 26 in the world, gaining 7 places compared to 2019 and remains the first in Spain in this area. In addition, in the Valencian Community she leads thirteen of the twenty-four subjects analysed, and five of the six fields of knowledge. According to the global version of the ranking, the UV is third in Spain and occupies position 211 in the world.

The University of Valencia, fourth in Spain in visibility and presence on the Internet, according to a CSIC ranking
The University Web Ranking (Webometrics) is an initiative of the CSIC Cybermetrics Lab research group that analyses 11,998 entities. According to the last update, today Thursday, the University of Valencia is the fourth higher education centre in Spain and the first one in the Valencian Community. Internationally, it has advanced 17 positions and is ranked as the 215th university in the world. In Europe it advances to 70th place, from 78 last year.

The University of Valencia has 32 researchers in the top five positions in Spain within their areas
The ranking of the Group for the Dissemination of the h Index (DIH) has placed 32 specialists of the University of Valencia (UV) in Spain’s top five positions in Spain in their areas. Four of the rank first in five areas: Eulogio Oset (Nuclear Physics), Eugenio Coronado (Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry), Antonio Pellicer (Reproductive Biology and Obstetrics and Gynecology as well) and Alicia Salvador (Psychobiology). By areas of knowledge, the largest number of specialists corresponds to Health Sciences (18), Technology, Engineering and Applied Sciences (6), Biology (5) and Chemistry (3).

The University of Valencia receives 19.8% more citations for scientific articles in the last year, according to the IUNE Observatory
The IUNE Observatory, a tool that analyses the academic and research activity of Spanish public and private universities, has highlighted that the University of Valencia has increased the number of scientific citations of the articles of its teaching staff by 19.8% between 2019 and 2020, so that it has gone from 505,210 references to 605,289. In terms of the number of publications, the institution reaches 30,061 in 2020, by 28,169 in 2019. With these data, the UV remains the first higher education centre in the Valencian Community and fourth in Spain, both in terms of number of scientific publications and citations received.

The University of Valencia improves in the CWTS Leiden Ranking of scientific performance and is already third best in Spain in Physics and Engineering and in Social Sciences and Humanities
The CWTS Leiden Ranking ranks selected universities by the number of publications indexed in Web of Science (2015-2018 period) and measures impact and scientific collaboration, open access publishing, and gender diversity. In yesterday’s update, the University of Valencia (UV) is fourth best in Spain in the complete and fractional count. By fields of knowledge, it has gone from fourth to third position in Spanish in Physical Sciences and Engineering and remains third in Social Sciences and Humanities, despite the increase in the centres analysed, which have gone from 963 in 2019 to 1,176 this year. In the fractional count by fields, the institution is the first in Spain in Social Sciences and Humanities.

The University of Valencia, among the hundred best in the world in six subjects, according to two rankings
The Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS), or Shanghai Ranking by subjects, has confirmed the University of Valencia (UV) among the top 100 in the world in four areas: Remote Sensing (11), Food Science and Technology (23 ), Public Health (51-75 range) and Tourism (51-75). In addition, the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) confirms the institution in the group of the hundred most influential in Food Engineering (35) and Business (84).

The University of Valencia, the first Valencian and fifth in Spain in the CWUR ranking, on quality in education and research performance
The University of Valencia has been ranked among the 289 best in the world in the prestigious Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) and among the European centres has reached position 121. In this ranking, the institution is the first Valencian university and fifth at a national level.
